Your neighbor can periodically check your home to ensure that everything is ok, and they can return the key to you once you come back from your vacation.

Let all and sundry know that you have security systems that are in place. You can do this by putting up sights which say that you have security within your home. You can simply use the name of the security company, rather than stating exactly which measure you have put in place. This will make anyone who is approaching your home more cautious.


Maintain your Privacy

Burglars are able to look up what people are up to on social media, and this can help them plan where they are going to strike next. For this reason, you need to be very careful about what you are sharing on these platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
